Simcha Even-Chen Art
Israeli, b. 1958
The abstract porcelain sculptures by Israeli artist Simcha Even-Chen explore themes of tension and balance, the opposition between chance and planning, stability and movement. The harmony of her sculptures is achieved through the combination of shapes, colours and geometric patterns. Her creative process is guided by a scientific approach based on her experience as a biologist. Simcha Even-Chen’s work has been exhibited in museums, galleries, art centres and biennales around the world. Her sculptures have joined international museum collections specialising in ceramics, as well as private collections.
