Signed & Dated Mid-Century Brutalist Paul Evans for Directional Dining Table

About the Item

This monumental and materially stunning Signed & Dated Mid-Century Modernist Brutalist Paul Evans for Directional Dining Table originates from the United States, Circa 1970. Features a substantial glass top resting upon two horsehoe shaped supports formed in welded panels of iron and brass with a numerous degree of textural and colored detailing, hand applied and a stunning aspect of Paul Evan's design and fabrication process. The piece has a lovely sense of movement while maintaining stability and providing detail for prolonged viewing and appreciation, with gleaming brass segments reflecting with their natural hue, as well as colored sections in subtle blues and deep cool reds. Composed of triangular welded elements that form to complete the three dimensional horseshoe shape of the table. Made for Directional and signed by the maker, this dining table is a stunning example of his practice and will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Brutalist and Contemporary Interiors.
