Beautiful patinated wooden small tansu from Japan. Tansu chests are very popular throughout Japan and were originally created as a portable set of drawers. Crafted using Japanese joinery with the exemption of nails or screws, they are ideal for keeping jewelry, objects of daily use, and clothing. Oxidized brass hardware.
