Georgian Gentleman’s Wash Stand

About the Item

Georgian Gentleman’s Mahogany wash or basin stand 1795-1810. This is a very well constructed piece with all case and drawer pieces nicely dovetailed together including the mirror frame and the hinged lids. The retractable mirror lifts up with a ring latch and a ratchet mechanism that is height adjustable and the mirror itself is also adjustable and fits in a notched frame. One operational drawer above a central cupboard storage area behind the double doors. Great original surface with a nice color and patina. Condition: Very good. All original hardware with the exception of the ring pull on the active door which is also period. Original old surface cleaned and waxed.
