Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this lovely rare original fully restored Victorian 1890-1900 cigar brown leather Chesterfield sofa

This piece is absolutely sublime, it has much larger and deeper arms than usual, wonderful if you like to rest a book with a drink on them. This is the highest model in the range, it has horse hair padding, a fully coil sprung base and its finished with a hessian base cover
The condition is fabulous for the age, the front panels have some light crazing but it all adds to the antique look and feel. The leather has been washed back, hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed waxed down and polished

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
