Tall Kähler HAK Table Lamp Brown Yellow Glaze Danish Midcentury Ceramic, 1960s
About the Item
Tall and elegant table lamp by Nils Kähler and made for Herman August Kähler's ceramic workshop (HAK) in Denmark in the 1960s.
The lampbase is made from brown clay and has a smooth and soft surface. It's contrasted by the top which is decorated with amber colored glaze.
Nils Kähler (1906-1979) was fourth generation of the family Kähler. He and his brother Herman Jørgen Kähler, who were in charge of Kähler's ceramic workshop from 1940, brought the artistic expressions of the ceramic production into the Mid-century period.
Included is a new lampshade designed and made in Denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and off white color. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards.
Incised with the initials "HAK" for Herman August Kähler and "Nils" for Nils Kähler and stamped "Denmark"
Measurements:
Height including lampshade: 72 cm (28.35") (the height can be adjusted)

Diameter lamp base: 12,3 cm (4.84")
