Mogens Koch double cone Laboratory pendant lamp, Louis Poulsen, Denmark, 1950s

About the Item

A double cone Laboratory pendant lamp model 16453 designed by the Danish architect Mogens Koch for Louis Poulsen. Specifically designed in the late 1950s to be used at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen. Initially developed for this project, which required strong and clear lighting on laboratory benches, the lamp’s ingenious construction allowed for adjustable light beams by manipulating the lamp holder’s position. Crafted from aluminum and chrome steel with a porcelain lamp holder.
