With Twin Looping Handles From our Barware collection, we are pleased to offer this Silver-Plated French Champagne Wine Cooler Bucket. The bucket with flared top rim, twin scroll handles, pinched base and a splayed foot. Decorated with fine quality cast worth with a symmetric triangular border to the foot and blossoming flowerheads to the handles. The base stamped Ravinet D’Enfert with a Three-Leaf Clover beside RD and the Silver-Plated guage mark of 24 meaning the applied silver-plate per gram. The Champagne Bucket dates to the early 20th century circa 1910. Ravinet D’Enfert was founded in 1845 by E. Tonnelier and was then by Louis Ravinet (1854-1925) in 1882. In 1891, Charles d’Enfert (1865-1960) entered into a partnership with Louis Ravinet and the company took the name Ravinet d’Enfert. The company was located in Paris for more than a century at the Hotel de Caumartin, 83 rue du Temple in the Marais. They specialized in the production of silver forks and spoons as well as silverware in general. For silverplated items, nickel silver models were manufactured in the Mouroux factory (Seine et Marne) created in 1895 by Louis Ravinet. In 1923, their sons André Ravinet and Jacques d’Enfert took over the company. The firm participated on a regular basis in exhibitions and received high rewards at various ones including winning gold medals at the Lyon Universal Exhibition in 1894 and Brussels in 1897.
