Georg Jensen Silver Bonbonniere With Acorn Finial 170

About the Item

An exceptional and early Georg Jensen 830 silver bonbonniere, design #170 by Georg Jensen in 1916. The vessel, crafted in an oval shape, features meticulous hand hammering, and is adorned with a gracefully curved lid topped with an acorn finial. The oval foot exhibits a sequence of finely chased columns and beads. The central section of the bonbonniere displays an art nouveau leaf and floral motif, also applied beneath the acorn finial. Noteworthy are the handles, each embellished with a pea pod design reminiscent of Jensen’s ornamental series #41. A distinctive leaf and berry ornament graces the base of each handle, adding to the overall elegance of the piece.
