Feuillâtre first entered his work at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français in 1898 along with Lalique. Only one year later, he displayed his work independently at large exhibitions such as the Paris World Exhibition. This work is among his earliest that received recognition in both the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français and the Paris World Exhibition.
