Japanese Asian Showa Period Bronze Koi Carp Fish Sculpture
About the Item
A beautiful Japanese bronze koi fish sculpture with wonderful mesh craftsmanship and a glowing patina.
This piece may have initially been made to use as an incense burner or decorative hanging ornament in a traditional Japanese kitchen/ Irori (open fire pit).
We believe it dates to sometime during the Showa Period (1926-1989) but could be older.
