Japanese Meiji Mixed Metals Plate with Birds and Foliage
About the Item
This stunning work of Japanese metal work is brilliant in detail and craftsmanship. Made of copper, bronze and perhaps other metals, the imagery created on the plate's center is remarkable. Depicting beautiful blooming foliage on tree limbs and birds swirling about, the creation is recessed inside of a floral framework. The entire design is finished with a graphic border with a bamboo like designed edging. Beautiful craftsmanship.
