Circa 1830/1860 British India Company Rich turquoise pashmina scarf densely embroidered with harlequin palms, Indian production from Delhi in the 19th century for fashion in England and Europe. Turquoise pashmina twill background with polychrome floral decoration with floss silk threads and partly reversible embroidery! This type of colored cartouche at the ends, called harlequin, was fashionable during the romantic period in Europe. Slender pashmina fringes at both ends. Clean, no moth holes, stains or discoloration, as new for an antique textiles. Excellent condition of color and conservation. Dimensions : 262 cm x 55 cm et 2 cm of fringes
