About the Item
Raymond Graber‘s celestial light sculptures transform the sense of perception, challenging the human eye’s sense for scale and time with a transcendental perceptual experience.
In an ethereal interplay between light and space, Graber’s light sculpture creates a perceptual portal, inviting the viewer to explore the boundaries between tangible and visual perception. In a world inundated with distractions, One Light (2022) offers a sanctuary of quiet reflection, inviting viewers to pause, and immerse themselves in the ineffable beauty of light. Each mesmerizing sculpture is a meditation on the sublime, a testament to the transformative power of perception and light immersion.
Over the course of time the wall mounted sculpture progressively transitions between atmospheric color hues, slowly intensifying and retreating to produce an infinite spectrum of light experiences, with multiple light arrays creating continuously changing infinite graduations of light intensity and subtle blending of color values.
A single cycle of gradual color changes lasts approximately 90 minutes, tentatively transitioning between a myriad of color temperatures barely detectable to the human eye. The seamless modulations of lightwaves allow the viewer to experience each mesmerizing color moment in time without perceiving the subtle changes in color spectrum, offering an ethereal experience of light immersion reminiscent of works by early Light and Space pioneers Robert Irwin and James Turrell.
In standby modus the wall sculpture’s minimal complexities enhance a room with clean lines, evolving shadow play and bold scale, yet with a floating in-situ appearance to further deceive the sculpture's depth and scale.
The minimalist design provides the ideal canvas for the ever-changing light experience, influenced by the change of ambient light from morning to night, offering a wide range of viewing experiences throughout the day, yet never intruding on the interior's ambient light.

- Sujoon - Cornflower Portal - Large Lightweight Three-Dimensional Wall SculptureBy Atticus AdamsLocated in Los Angeles, CAAtticus Adams' organically composed modern metal sculptures embody the transformative power of contemporary art, illustrating the creation of beauty, meaning, and emotional impact from industrial materials. Using mostly aluminum mesh—generally found in screen doors, windows, and filters—he creates contemporary abstract sculptural artworks and installations, which resemble flowers, clouds, and other natural phenomena. Working in metal, Adams effortlessly transforms rigid material into airy, effervescent artworks. This 48-inch high by 44-inch wide and 4-inch deep metal sculpture is a lightweight form. It is created from aluminum and copper mesh, gesso, acrylic paint, and wire. It has metal rings affixed on the back which allows for easy installation. Atticus works spontaneously, feeling his way toward the objects that take shape in his mind as he shapes them almost entirely by hand. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Atticus grew up in West Virginia, steeped in traditional folk art. Several members of his family are self-taught artists, deeply involved in such crafts as wood carving and quilting. His formal art training includes stints at Yale, Rhode Island School of Design, and Harvard’s School of Architecture. Atticus has fond summer memories of screened-in porches back home and screen doors that practically dissolved the barrier between inside and outside, allowing the warmth and nature to permeate each day. This association continues to resonate in his art. “Metal mesh is a beautiful, flexible material that allows you to explore shadow and transparency in endless ways,” he says. “The material lends itself to these biomorphic shapes, which aren’t necessarily intentional . . . The sculptures seem fragile but are actually quite resilient—like nature itself.” A well-known sculptor, the organically inspired artworks of Atticus Adams are held in public and private collections and are exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States.
