About the Item

Pagter’s minimalism is emblematic of the shared sensibilities of Scandinavian and Japanese artists, popularly termed 'Japandi’. This Mid-Century Modern style tiber art triptych is composed of the hand-woven tapestries: ‘Into Blue’, ‘Into Red’, and Into Black’. “In the refined and sophisticated world of design in Japanese art, crafts and architecture, ‘cool’ and ‘sober’ Scandinavians find great inspiration,” Pagter observes. "From the exotic and foreign land we find an aesthetically common understanding of a minimalist idiom — an understanding of finding the core of a composition - that is, cutting off everything that’s unnecessary.” Each wall hanging is 34.25" x 30x25".
