Artist Bio: Born in Boston, MA, Fink received his education from Maryland Institute College of Art and Yale University. He was an Artist-Residence at Anderson Ranch, Snowmass, Colorado in 1996 and 1998, received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1982 and 1987, and in 1984 he was awarded an Artist Fellowship from the Massachusetts Council on the Arts and Humanities. Fink was part of a group of artists associated with a new wave of Boston Expressionism in the early 1980s and his first solo exhibition was held at the Hayden Corridor Gallery at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His work often depicts real life objects characterized by their enhanced color and contrast for a largely life-like effect.
