Original vintage travel advertising poster - Imperial Airways Luxury in the new Empire Flying-Boats to Europe Africa India China Australia - featuring colourful artwork of smartly dressed passengers chatting with each other in a plane cabin, the men in suits and two ladies standing by a girl looking out of a window on tiptoes, an elderly gentleman on the left and a waiter serving champagne to a seated passenger in the next cabin, bags on the luggage racks above and the bold red and black text on the border below. Founded in 1924 the British airline Imperial Airways merged into the British Overseas Airways Corporation BOAC in 1939, later merging with the British European Airways BEA to form British Airways BA in 1974. Printed in England by the Haycock Press Ltd and published by Imperial Airways, Ltd. Good condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, restored folds, staining, backed on linen.
