About the Item
Patty deGrandpre’s “Greetings from Hawaii” is a pair of 5 x 7 inch unique abstract inkjet prints each represented on 7 x 10.5 inch Awagami Washi paper and is part of her “Pieces and Pictures” series. Architecture, Hawaiian flora, and swaying palms are evident in these predominately purple, yellow, mint green, and khaki pair of prints. Fragments of graphic black images pop amongst the contrasting vivid tones of the deconstructed tropical images which are printed in layers and are reminiscent of classic Hawaiian postcards. Patty deGrandpre’s contemporary works have a powerful effect as there are multiple directions the eyes of a viewer can be taken, whether it’s right vs. left or top vs. bottom. Each unique image is printed only once and is signed and dated under the bottom right corner of the image. This pair of prints will ship flat in a protective sleeve ready for the frame (or frames) of your choice. This vibrant depiction of Hawaii will make a striking addition to any contemporary collection.
