Beautiful large-scale vertical landscape of a majestic waterfall in the Sierra Mountains by California artist Katie DeRolf (American 20th-C), c. 1960's. This gorgeous scene uses a vertical composition to highlight the waterfall, as it flows from up on a ridge and down through a gently winding stream. The dramatic mountain peaks of the Sierras tower in the distance, behind a thickly wooded forest of dark green trees.
Signed "De Rolf" lower right.
Presented in an ornate antique giltwood frame.

Katie DeRolf was a Los Angeles artist during the 60s-70s, she had a Galley in Studio City Los Angeles.
