Olio su tela. In basso a destra presente firma non identificata.
La grande tela presenta una scena di interno, ambientata in una corte settecentesca: nella sala riccamente arredata con tendaggi di velluto, sculture e e grandi dipinti alle pareti, una regina (identificata dal manto orlato d'ermellino), posa per il pittore che sta eseguendo il suo ritratto, attorniata dalla corte, dame e gentiluomini sorridenti, ed un prelato, che pare invece piuttosto scontento.
L'opera guarda alla produzione del pittore Arturo Ricci (1854 -1919), che si specializzò in scene di genere ambientate alle corti settecentesche.
IL dipinto è presentato in cornice assemblata con elementi di inizio '900.
