Jules LAURENS Carpentras (Vaucluse), 1825 - Saint-Didier (Vaucluse), 1895 Pencil 29 x 23 cm (36 x 30 cm with frame) Signed and dated lower left "JL / 52" Modern frame Excellent condition Our drawing repreenetd children going down from their mountains to go and seek a job in town. It is attributed to Jules Laurens and it is dated 1852. Jules Laurens is an academic painter who has traveled a lot. Known mainly for his travels in the Middle East, he also made some trips to France at the beginning of his career, from where he reported drawings and sketches, landscapes and genre scenes, particularly in Auvergne.
